What a great and generous initiative from Ian Boddy to put together an album that will benefit the Red Cross of Ukraine. DIN MIX-THE FALLEN is a 60-minute mosaic of ambient electronic music (EM) with emotive spikes, As Above So Below, that keep the music in its shroud of sometimes dark and often cosmic meditative music. Some tracks, the older ones, have received a slight balm of rejuvenation in this long exploration of the DiN boss' catalog. From as far back as Aurora and Chiasmata, with 2 tracks each, to the most recent Axiom and its track The Fallen and its poignant chant on the Martenot Waves, Boddy offers a superb 60 minutes of meditative music where sticking those images of disarray that swarm in the news since the invasion and the armed attack on Ukraine by Russia is easily done. It's for a good and beautiful cause, which has raised close to $1200.00 so far, and will continue to do so as long as people buy and will buy this album which is only available as a download on DiN's Bandcamp site. A sonic and musical feast for the lovers of ambient and meditative music whose perfumes float between the darkness and the Cosmos.
